Four/Twenty

Ahhh, what a peaceful day in the world.
Now lets get something straight here. The number 420 is actually 2 numbers. Not one whole number. It is not a police radio code for anything, it is infact just a special date on our calanders. April 20th is National Pot Smokers Day. Well, it is now; but that wasn't the origin. April 20th is actually Hitler's birthday. Yes, it is his birthday... That is not a typo! I hate Hitler just as the next person, so don't think I glorify him haha. But, his birthday had nothing to do with what is so special about today. According to Steven Hager, editor of High Times, the term 420 originated at San Rafael High School, in 1971, among a group of about a dozen pot-smoking wiseacres who called themselves the Waldos. The term 420 was shorthand for the time of day the group would meet, at the campus statue of Louis Pasteur, to smoke pot! (Does that sound familiar to any of you potheads?) And after your done reading this, I bet you are wondering how I am going to spend my day, today... Well Im going to toke it up with the buddies and laugh at everything(: Today is the day to Unwind... And eat all the food in my fridgerator !!!

All The Boys Go, Ga Ga For a Lady

Out of all the celebrities, I think Lady Ga Ga's Crazy fashion sense is top of the charts. People asked for different, and got Ga Ga! Whether you love or hate Lady Gaga – and people seem to fall into one camp or the other, without any in between – you’ve got to admit she doesn’t blend in with most of the other current female pop stars. There have been a lot of arguments over whether or not she’s just copying Christina Aguilera, and many people criticize her for behaving eccentrically just to get attention –not because she’s actually eccentric. Whatever you think about her, she’s undeniably going places – her music has been all over the airwaves this past year. Lady Gaga is on the cover of this month’s “Rolling Stone,” and says she thinks she’s redefining sexy. She also says she’s bisexual, but is only attracted to women sexually (presumably meaning she’s not attracted to them emotionally). Gaga also admits that she’s had an intense lust for fame and has done some crazy things to get it. Something You Probably Didnt Know: Before burning up the charts with hits from her debut album The Fame, Stefani "Gaga" Germanotta was a college dropout who performed in Manhattan burlesque clubs and wrote songs for Britney Spears and New Kids on the Block!!! Dang, I guess I learn something new everyday... Lol

Cynically Skeptic

The difference between a skeptic and a cynic is that a skeptic never had hope, so they find it difficult to believe, whereas a cynic once had hope, lost it, and now refuses to believe. "Cynics blindly accept any information that confirms their lack of faith in humanity. Skeptics question everything, even the bad news.. Cynics are easy for the media to control. Skeptics aren't." While a "Skeptic" has reservations about things, a cynic has a negative attitude about everything. The word has a negative connation. A cynic is someone who doesn't believe that people can be good. When people are good, he believes that they are being nice because they have an ulterior motive. A cynic does not trust or respect the goodness of other people. The school of Cynics was started by Antisthenes and he and his followers believed that virtue was the only good. They felt that the only way to remain virtuous was through self-discipline and independence. It's strange that a word that began by having a positive meaning ended up with a negative one!
